I don’t believe in making New Year’s Resolutions” - there’s something inherent to them that says “I am broken”. I’m much more open to a flexible plan that flexes with the realities of life.

• Is there a new skill or certification you want to add to your list of services?

• Are speaking events and/or online interviews something you want to bring in to show yourself as an influencer in your industry?

Your personal brand is a reflection of who you are and what you stand for, and it's key to standing apart from your competitors.

If you try that new, scary thing, sure you might fail! But, if you don’t try you have no chance to succeed. What the stomach fluttering/heart palps/clammy hands are telling you is that you feel so much is on the line with this that you are sending yourself into fight or flight mode. Should you fight or should you flee? Get out there!

How we attract more clients - the right clients, the best clients, the ones that make us excited to do our work and run our businesses - requires honest internal searching as if you were looking to seriously date someone for the long haul. That’s why I decided to stop lying.
